A snorkelling boat is the one thing nearly every visitor to Gili Air books. The usual circuit visits a turtle area, the Nest statues off Gili Meno and a reef or two, with a lunch stop on Meno. Trips from Air tend to be a little smaller and more relaxed than those from Trawangan, and private boats are good value for a family or a group of friends.
Out of the water, Air has become the islands’ centre for classes — cooking, silver-smithing, yoga and freediving. The listings below are real GetYourGuide products with prices and ratings from its partner feed in October 2026; check live prices before booking. More on sites and seasons in Diving & snorkelling.

Booking tips
- Morning trips get the calmest sea and the clearest water. The afternoon wind picks up between June and September.
- Private boats are priced per boat for small groups; for three or four people the difference from a shared trip can be small. Check the options on the listing.
- Classes fill up in July and August — reserve a day or two ahead.
- Snorkelling from shore is free and good: see things to see for where to get in.
- Combining with Lombok. Waterfall days, Sasak village tours and Rinjani treks collect from Bangsal harbour; see Senggigi & the harbours and Mount Rinjani.
