How we choose what to feature
- We select tours for relevance to the destination and for the quantity and quality of their reviews, and we tell you when reviews are few.
- We do not accept payment for including or ranking a tour or hotel.
- We mention free and cheaper alternatives — snorkelling from the beach, the public boat instead of a charter, walking instead of a cart — wherever they exist.
- Where the right advice is to book locally — for example the public island-hopping boat or a dive course, which are sold on the islands — we say so.
- We do not feature horse-riding or horse-cart products, for the welfare reasons set out in our getting around guide.
