Almost everything worth booking on Gili Trawangan happens on or under the water. The classic is the three-island snorkelling trip: a boat, usually glass-bottomed, that stops at a turtle area, a coral garden and the underwater statues off Gili Meno, with a lunch break on Meno or Gili Air. Shared trips are cheap and sociable; a private boat costs more but lets you leave earlier than the crowd, which makes a real difference at the statues.
The listings below are real GetYourGuide products with the prices and ratings shown in its partner feed in October 2026. Prices move with the season and the option you pick, so treat them as a guide and check the live price before you book. Our pick of tours & tickets in Gili Trawangan
from €13 Gili Islands: Private or Shared Snorkelling Boat Trip
The most-reviewed Gili activity on GetYourGuide by a wide margin. Choose a shared boat or a private one and a short or longer route; guides point out hawksbill turtles and the better coral. Check which pick-up island your option covers when booking.
from €13 From Gili Trawangan: Gili Islands Snorkelling Boat Tour
The standard three-island circuit from Trawangan’s harbour: Gili Meno’s underwater statues, a turtle spot and a reef off Gili Air, by shared boat. Very good value and easy to fit around a lazy morning.
from €15 Gili Trawangan: Sunset Boat Tour and Snorkelling
A late-afternoon glass-bottom boat to three snorkelling spots, finishing on the water as the sun drops towards Bali. A good choice if you would rather keep the hot middle of the day for the shade.
from €90 Manta Dive Gili Trawangan: Discover Scuba Diving
A try-dive with one of the island’s oldest dive centres: briefing and pool session, then a shallow guided dive on a nearby reef. No certificate needed, only reasonable comfort in the water.
from €104 Gili Islands: 4-in-1 Catamaran Snorkelling Experience
The comfortable option: a sailing catamaran with snorkelling stops, a buffet, paddleboards and time at a floating platform. Considerably dearer than a shared boat, and a far more relaxed day.
from €25 Gili Trawangan: Dinner with Locals & Private Cooking Class
An evening in a family home in the village behind the strip, cooking and eating Indonesian dishes with your hosts. One of the few activities that shows the island beyond its beachfront.

Booking tips
- Go early for the statues. The Nest sculptures off Gili Meno are shallow and small; by late morning dozens of boats arrive together. The first departures and private boats see them at their best.
- Check what “shared” means. Public snorkelling boats can carry thirty or more people. If group size matters to you, read the listing and pick a small-group or private option.
- Bring your own mask if you have one. Rental masks vary in quality, and a good fit matters more than anything else for an enjoyable hour in the water.
- Do not touch or chase turtles, and do not stand on coral. A decent guide will say the same; if yours does not, say it for them.
- Diving after flying is fine; flying after diving is not. Leave at least 18–24 hours between your last dive and a flight.
- Horse-riding listings exist on the island. We do not recommend them here; see our note on horse welfare in the Gilis and judge for yourself.
