Meno is where the Gilis’ best-known snorkelling stops are, so almost every three-island boat trip in the region spends half its time in Meno’s waters. If you are staying on the island you have two advantages: you can swim to the statues and the turtle reef from the beach before any boat arrives, and you can book a boat that starts here rather than joining one from another island.
The three listings below start on Gili Meno and are real GetYourGuide products, with prices and ratings as shown in its partner feed in October 2026. Coverage is genuinely thinner here than on Trawangan or Air, so we also show a few well-reviewed trips from the neighbouring islands that Meno guests regularly use. For everything else — sites, tides and etiquette — see Diving & snorkelling.
Our pick of tours & tickets in Gili Meno
from €26 From Gili Meno: Private & Group Gili Islands Snorkelling
A guided snorkelling trip that starts from Meno itself, as a small group or a private boat. Turtles, coral gardens and the statues, without first crossing to another island.
from €26 Gili Meno: Indonesian Cooking Class
A hands-on class in the island’s quiet interior: prepare several traditional dishes with fresh local ingredients, then sit down and eat them together. A good plan for the hot middle of the day.
from €56 Private 3 Gilis Snorkelling from Gili Meno – All Inclusive
A private boat for your own party with gear included, covering the classic stops around all three islands at your pace. New on GetYourGuide when we checked, so it has no reviews yet.
Also bookable from here
These real GetYourGuide listings belong to a neighbouring island or harbour but are regularly used by visitors staying here — check the pick-up point before you book.
Gili Trawangan from €13 Gili Islands: Private or Shared Snorkelling Boat Trip
The most-reviewed Gili activity on GetYourGuide by a wide margin. Choose a shared boat or a private one and a short or longer route; guides point out hawksbill turtles and the better coral. Check which pick-up island your option covers when booking.
Gili Air from €15 From Gili Air: Snorkelling with Turtles & Underwater Statue
The best-reviewed trip that starts on Gili Air: turtles, the Meno statues and coral gardens, with free time for lunch on Gili Meno. Over a thousand reviews at an excellent average.
From Bali from €26 Bali: Ferry Ticket to Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, Gili Meno
A fast-ferry ticket from Bali with all three Gilis offered as destinations. Confirm whether Gili Meno is a direct call or a transfer by small boat on your date.
Booking tips
- Swim to Nest yourself. The statues stand in about four metres of water roughly 30–50 metres off the west beach, in front of the BASK resort. Go before 8 am or after 4 pm and you may have them nearly to yourself.
- Mind the current. It can run strongly along the west coast. Enter up-current, drift, and get out before the beach ends; if in doubt, ask a local boatman which way it is running.
- Low tide is awkward. The reef flat on the west and north is very shallow at low water. Wear reef shoes to walk out and never stand on live coral.
- Divers can be collected by boats from schools on the other islands; Meno also has its own small dive operations. Ask your accommodation.
- Check the pick-up island on any trip marked “Gili Islands” — some start only from Trawangan or Air.
